Story
This coin was “set free” in March 2022. It was gifted to Allison H. At Covenant Presbyterian Church. Allison got a new Taylor Guitar, & I surprised her with a mother of pearl Truss cover for it. She is such a blessing to so many people & she simply glows when she’s playing her guitar.
I gave her the butterfly coin & asked her to pay it forward.
Be blessed!!
Memorial Day weekend, our friend Karen invited us to her getaway cabin in Fayetteville, TN. Five of our Christian sisters enjoyed food, fellowship, & bonding over a roaring camp fire.
Our friend Phyllis, had lost her husband 4 months ago & and it was her first big outing since then. She was telling us about him, and her favorite memories, but she wanted a sign that he was still near. Just then, a shooting star flew across the night sky -- the only one we saw in 3 hours!! We owned it as a sign, & said goodbye to him that night.
Each of us grew closer to God & each other. Prayers for my sisters in faith.
On May 3, 2019, Diane volunteered at the 4th annual "Ability Career Fair - Connecting Employers & Individuals with Disabilities."
This was a Leadership Huntsville L-29 small group project beginning in 2016.
She also hosted Beth & Tim at her house, and wrote their resumes for them. She invited 3 others to the fair and provided feedback on their resumes. At the fair, she introduced them to the right people & made connections to employers. My prayer is that they'll find jobs and pay it forward.
In April 2019, my husband was at an Orthopedic Doctor. While he was waiting for an appointment, a woman was there crying and in pain. They wouldn't see her, because her account had a balance & she couldn't pay the co-pay. She was making quite a scene, demanding an appointment.
My husband, Steve, quietly walked up to the counter & asked what the trouble was. The receptionist told him she owed $70 to be seen that day. He took out a $100 bill, and gave it to the receptionist. When she tried to give him change, he said "apply it to her account for her next appointment." That's the kind of person he is.
He also helped a stranger at Costco. They bought some furniture in 3 boxes, and only 2 would fit in their car. He offered to take their other box to their house with his truck, 25 miles away!!
I am inspired to "Pay it Forward"
This butterfly was born on April 13, 2019. My mom, Barbara, had a lovely tea party & early Easter celebration with me & my two daughters. She prepared a delicious meal with ham, cheese dip & chips, hambone soup, roasted pecans, & dessert.
Afterward we had very special Easter gifts waiting. Each gift bag contained 2 Monarch coins, like this one -- one to keep, and one to pass on. There were also sweets, and these cute rubber dogs that shoot balls from their mouth, when squeezed. We had doggie fights with our nerf balls! Mom always had a way of creating special memories.
After lunch, we went to see the Romeo & Juliet Ballet. This was one of my mom's 2018 Christmas gifts from me & my daughter.
My parents have always put others first. This coin represents to me, all the wonderful things they do for us. Recently, they helped my daughter buy a SUV that is wonderful! She needed a car, & couldn't have gotten it without their support. I praise God for having the best parents I could have hoped for, & pray that their love inspires us all to "Pay it Forward".
