I received this coin from my Aunt Julie with a beautiful monarch-winged necklace. She is a nature lover and enjoys researching the pollinators.
I loved this concept so much that I decided to purchase more of my own coins to pass along to those who are special to me. I decided to spend April 24th having lunch with my sister for her 35th birthday and passed along this coin to her because she is so dear to me.

Received this coin as a 60th birthday gift from my Aunt Pat. She knows how much I enjoy nature and it's wonders. Last year I began collecting monarch eggs from milkweed that was coming up in our grassy areas (migrated from our sloped area where we let it grow) and I knew the plants in the yard would get mowed down. Each time before my hubby mowed I'd check all the plants in harms way and put them into a butterfly enclosure to hatch/raise/release. I learned how to do this with the help of a friend who raises butterflies as well as silk moths - and also from information online. Just one more way to become more familiar with natures wonders.

Received this coin today as a 60th birthday gift from my Aunt Pat. I started collecting/raising/releasing monarch eggs from milkweed that had spread to our lawn from our sloped area. I knew they'd get mowed over so I got some information on how to raise them from a friend who also raises butterlies and silk moths as well as internet sites, I plan on giving one of the coins to my butterfly friend. She is a very nature oriented person as am I, a kindred spirit. She and her daughter are two of the kindest people I've been fortunate enough to know. Thank you to my Aunt Pat for finding such a unique birthday gift idea!
