Coin Stories

This Monarch coin was originated in Las Vegas Nevada and was given to an exceptional woman, Laura. I have seen first hand how she treats patients and students in need of her assistance. Her bed side matter is second to none and her love of her job shows through everyday. I hope she knows how many people she has touched with her compassion. Laura, please hold on to this coin for as long as you need to, but when you are ready, let it go to someone as wonderful as you are.

This Monarch originated in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was given Sherri, an amazing woman that I am proud to call my friend. She always puts other people’s needs first. She has worked very hard to get to the place where she is at this time. A Nurse, a mentor, a leader and a spiritual person who sees the good in the world. Sherri, hold on to this monarch for as long as you need to, but when you are ready, I hope you release it to someone as special as you are.

Habitat for Humanity sponsored a gingerbread house contest which was displayed in the Parkside Hotel on Humboldt St in Victoria B.C. I am visiting from Portland, OR & really enjoyed seeing all the gingerbread creations. I slipped this coin into the envelope with my donation to Habitat in hopes it will be received by a terrific Habitat for Humanity volunteer.

I left this coin in a Little Free Library on the corner of Superior st. & Montreal St in Victoria, B.C. I love little free libraries and the people who stock them!

My sweet mama sent this coin to us along with a bunch of other goodies. Her grandson (4yrs old) was so excited to open a package all the way from Missouri from his mema. He looks forward to pass along kindness along with this coin!

Hiya, my name is Tenisha and I am a cashier at the front end. Thank you Maurice, for honoring me with the coin. I would like to pass along this coin to a kind and thoughtful cashier that I work with, her name is Ashley.

Merry christmas Ashley and I hope 2020 will be your best year ever!

Kindness doesn’t always require you to go out of your way, sometimes just a smile or recognition of a job well done can start the positive energy waves

Let this coin remind you’re never alone in this world, wherever in the world you might be

This coin is a wedding present from Howard & Renee Skerry to Gordon & Nancy Wallace, coming from Santa Cruz, CA to Wake Forest, NC. We know that with their many adventures ahead there will be a special place to give this butterfly another place to fly!

This coin was given to me by a dear friend in Lawton, Oklahoma the first week of December 2019. I decided to send the coin to a forever friend in Las Vegas, Nevada in her Christmas package. The monarch butterfly is very special to me. We have grown milkweed to feed the butterfly caterpillars and our yard and garden is nurtured to feed the butterflies. I am excited to be a part of this kindness project. Blessed!

Story not begun yet

I'm sending this coin to New Brunswick, Canada with Eva, to my dear friend Doris. Who knew when we sat in a pod of 4 in the grade 7 class of Wood/Porter that we would become lifelong friends. Oh the memories and laughs that we have shared. I value our friendship and your family. Merry Christmas. XOXO Michelle

I got this coin after seeing them on Facebook and was inspired by the story and travels this one coin could have.
I am a firm believer of paying ones blessings forward. Whether that be with an act of kindness either with financial, emotional, encouraging, or supporting deeds......

This coin was mailed to a very dear friend this past week. I admire this lady so very very much. She has the heart of gold and is always available to offer help and words of help and encouragement to our Kleefstra Syndrome family. See we met, because both of our daughters have Kleefstra Syndrome. So we have become buddies! I love and admire you Becky ! Our world is miles away in person, but a heartbeat away when needed. Your Kindness is always there , you are a blessing to myself, my family, my Becky and most of all our entire Kleefstra Family................ ...love ya

Sadly the person I gave this coin to has passed away. Not sure of it's journey at this point.

Just sent a message to the person I gave this coin too...... Lets see if he adds a note.

Kyle and Kelsey are getting married this coming 2020 year and also taking flight in some new locations. I thought they might share their Butterfly Coin in the Joplin area or along their travels in some special way. We'll see how far this Butterfly goes!

Sending off as a Christmas 🎄 gift to a friend who collects medallions. I gave her one last year and she was surprised and thrilled. Hope you like it TEMSH!

This coin originally started in Spokane, WA. My Mom, who loves butterflies, gave it to me. She said some very nice things to me when she gave me the coin, and I will treasure those thoughts for a long time. Spreading kindness is so important these days, and the butterfly effect can be huge! I hope the coin continues it's travels and spreads kindness. I will be passing it on to my friend, Sue, who is visiting me this Christmas from California.

The beginning of its journey... “do good and fly on!”

This coin was given to me today as part of my birthday gifts by a friend. Grace surprised me at work today. She retired from where we worked together for 10 years. She and I shared so many of the same likes and dislikes is was crazy we weren't sisters. (although she hates Ranch dressing and ginger) ha ! Her listening ear was often my place of refuge. She will forever be my person. The coin is just a reminder how people travel the earth for treasures and adventures but few don't have to go far to connect in the most special of ways.

Gifted to my friend for all good and kindness she has always shown to me.

I want to thank my dear friend Phyllis for thinking of me and for her kind words. She is such an amazing friend! Now I want to share this with Frank, who has been my good friend for most of my life. He is so thoughtful of others, always ready to help anyone, and has a great sense of humor. As my act of kindness I will offer my daily rosary for his intentions today.

Traveling to my long-time friend in sunny California.

Giving this coin to a very special young lady for Christmas. This is the last Christmas I will have with her and her family, since they will be moving. Love you, Sarah.

This butterfly started its journey in Auburn, Indiana, given to Vicki! Upon finding a beautiful fragile Day of the Day clay figurine in Mexico, Vicki carefully packed it and generously brought it back for me, allowing me to use it to share with others and teach more about the symbolism of monarchs in cultures. Thanks, Vicki for your thoughtfulness and generosity!

The journey of this coin begins in Auburn, Indiana as it is given to a dear person who is always looking out for mankind and animals. Her selflessness is limitless. Thank you, Robyn for all the good you do!

This coin goes to Linda Cornett who has been so faithful to visit my husband during his battle with cancer.

I will give this coin to my friend Camille. She has been so faithful to send cards during my husbands battle with cancer.

Traveling to Kyan's house this December. Kyan has such a genuine kindness and caring for others. What a sweety!

Off to Bothell to join Kelti this December. Such a prankster! Always makes us smile.

Merry Christmas!

Traveled to McKinley in Lake Oswego this December. Always kind! Love how she bought Kyan the penguin he wanted just because :)

Traveled to Ashlyn this December. She brings such joy to family!

This coin is flying to my talented hair stylist and owner of Artistry in Hair. We met behind a mirror over thirty years ago and she is still beautifying my hair every eight weeks. She is very creative and skilled at her craft. She is an excellent listener and not only beautifies my hair but beautifies my soul. She introduced me to online meditation. I always leave her salon with a boosted self concept and some new knowledge. Kellee, keep this kindness coin, pass it on to someone randomly or pass it on to someone who has brought kindness into your life. I am proud to call you a friend.

I received this coin in the mail recently, part of an order I placed. I want to share the beauty of butterflies and the joy of kindness with the world around me. Hopefully during this Advent and Christmas season this butterfly will begin its journey . . .

Mary Jo Springer.
This is for your act of kindness towards everyone in your life. If it weren't for you the world would be a much different place. You bring so much love and caring to those around you. The world is a lot better place with you here. Thanks for everything you do and all the love you bring to everyone whose life you touch. You know no strangers only friends!
Love you,
JoEllen and Patti

I received this coin from Kathy. It was given to me for the help and friendship my husband and I gave to their family. This gift made me tear up, as Kathy is a wonderful person and friend. I am thankful every day that our paths crossed and we became friends. I am excited to carry this coin and look diligently for it's new home.
